What is the purpose of AnimalAssist.com?
Our mission is twofold: (1) to aid non-profit animal shelters obtain the necessary operating funds to feed, shelter, and neuter or spay abandoned companion animals, and to facilitate their adoption into new homes; and (2) to help support efforts by non-profit wildlife organizations to establish and maintain wildlife sanctuaries and to promote protective legislation.

How does AnimalAssist.com work?
This web site was created to reflect the voices of caring individuals and organizations.  A donation is made by our corporate sponsors to the current non-profit beneficiary animal organization when an individual clicks on our donation button. Each corporate sponsor contributes approximately 1 to 2 1/2 cents (depending upon the size of their banner ad) per click.  Therefore, the more people that click on our donation button, the greater the corporate contributions to animal welfare organizations.

Does it cost me anything to click on the donation button?
Absolutely not.  The corporate sponsors pay in full for your donation, in return for the placement of their banner ads on AnimalAssist.com. Please consider supporting our charitable sponsors.

How many times per day can I click on the donation button?
Our sponsors will pay for one click per person on our donation button each calendar day. There are limitations on the number of total donations per day that each corporate sponsor could be responsible for. Each new calendar day begins at midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time (5:00 Greenwich Mean Time).

How are the beneficiary animal welfare organizations chosen?
AnimalAssist.com was created to aid non-profit animal welfare organizations.  We invite all such organizations to download an application.  There is no charge either to apply or to become a beneficiary organization.  As a practical matter, we need to be able to find corporate sponsors for a potential beneficiary organization.

How often are the beneficiary animal welfare organizations changed?
A different animal welfare organization is featured at the beginning of each calendar month.  It is possible for the same organization to be sponsored more than once during a calendar year. 

How are the donated amounts used?
Depending upon the charter of the beneficiary animal organization, donations could be used to purchase food, spay, neuter, and shelter companion animals, and run veterinary clinics and adoption programs.  Similarly, organizations involved in wildlife issues may use the donated monies to operate animal sanctuaries or promote protective legislation.

How are the donation amounts paid?
At the conclusion of each calendar month, the sponsoring companies will be notified of the donation totals and amounts, with a copy sent to that month’s beneficiary animal welfare organization.  Once payment is made, AnimalAssist.com forwards ninety-one percent (91%) of the generated funds for the month to the beneficiary animal organization.  We retain the remaining nine percent (9%) to help pay for bandwidth, hardware, and administrative expenses.

What do the sponsoring corporations gain?
We expect AnimalAssist.com to primarily be visited by animal owners or guardians, and by wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts.  Companies that are seeking to reach this market segment may therefore wish to have their banner ads placed on our site by sponsoring a beneficiary animal welfare organization.  The banner ads will be viewed by all visitors who click on our donation button.
Sponsoring companies also accrue another important benefit; the goodwill of the site’s visitors for supporting a worthy cause.  A sponsoring company may elect to do so for a period of days or weeks.  A sponsoring company will also be aware of the specific animal welfare organization highlighted each month, and may elect not to sponsor a particular group for any reason.  For additional information about becoming a donation sponsor, please click here or contact us at sponsors@animalassist.com

We are not a non-profit organization, but rather a web site dedicated to improving the lives of animals and helping to ensure their survival.  Animal Assist, LC is a limited liability corporation.
